Solenoid Coils ATEX

For the use in hazardous locations nass magnet offers special solenoids. The so called Ex-Proof coils are available with ATEX, IEC, or CSA and FM aprovals. nass magnet‘s ATEX certified coils are offered in encapsulated (Ex m), intrinsically safe (Ex i) and non incendive (Ex n) versions. Our Ex-Proof coils have been approved in accordance to DIN EN 60079, DIN VDE 0170 and IEC 60079 by the federal physical/technical institute (PTB) conformable to the guideline 94/9/EG of the European Commission.

Our Ex-Proof Coils range in width from 22mm to 52mm. All common AC and DC voltages are available. Many termination options are offered. The Ex m coils have encabsulated cables, the Ex i and Ex n versions have the most popular valve connector pin pattern, Form A. In addition nass magnet offers also explosion proof coils with terminal box (Ex e m) as well as the FM and CSA approved types with ½-inch conduit.

For the Ex i and Ex n (Category 3, Zone 2) nass magnet offers a special ATEX valve connector.

All coils are IP65 rated, but some coils can be converted close to IP67 rating with the addition of o-rings and the side exhaust coil nut. Coils can be private labeled with customer’s logo along with the coil’s technical information. CE mark is available.
